The retractable quill leverages the well-established design principles of our Heavy Service 250psi retractable quills. It offers an expanded range of material options for the main connection assembly, including the valve and compression gland.
In a retractable quill, the solution tube, which is the portion that comes into contact with chemicals, should be constructed from chemically resistant materials like Hastelloy C276, Alloy 20, or titanium. While the main connection valves do not come into direct contact with the feed, they can typically be made from brass or stainless steel. However, in applications where the process fluid is highly corrosive (such as brackish water, sea water, or chemical processes), the valve material should match that of the solution tube for optimal performance and durability.
